Under: Out and about
Why do they have bus shelters that have closed sides at the Golden Arrow Bus stops ???? I understand that it is an ideal place to advertise that juicy burger, But the purpose of a bus shelter is to give the passengers waiting shelter from the wind and the rain and of course the sun. If you stand inside the this type of bus shelter – you are sheltered, but the bus drives past Because you are not able to see it approaching.
So the decision was made to stand outside the bus shelter and forget about trying to get out Of the gale force wind and the harsh afternoon sun – I then found myself staring into a huge road sign which now blocked my vision of any bus approaching. We have now resorted to standing behind the bus shelter where we can see the bus approaching and then run out and flag it down.
Solution :- clear sides to bus shelters - And please passengers that are traveling the full bus ride – try and sit near the back So the ones hopping on at one stop and only traveling a few stops can sit in front and hop off.
