What if …………………………

WHAT IF I wanted to assist the penguins – those wonderful little happy feet.
I contacted Australia and I contacted the local SANCOB.

I received a well written email – thanking me for my interest and supplying me with all the details, I had  requested from the Australian Centre.  They even gave advice on how I could help in my own country – and were only too happy for me to assist them even though they are the other side of the world.  I received this response within 12 hours of sending th...

Calm down My-Citi

Posted by Dannielle Connections on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, In : Out and about
I have recently noticed the bus drivers are very impatient, and pull away before people can
embark or dis-embark.  I have seen more than one person nearly getting squashed in the doors.
Some stations only have one security person on duty.
On many occasions the station door or the bus door does not open, by the time you have
rushed to the next door, the bus is pulling away.

Surely this is a first-world invention ??  The doors should have a sensor – so that if anyone
is standing by a door – t...

Our trip to Oudtshoorn:

Posted by Dannielle Connections on Monday, June 24, 2013, In : Out and about
What a wonderful weekend away in Oudtshoorn!

A group of us headed up to Oudtshoorn this past weekend for the Kickboxing/K1 SA Champs, hosted in Oudtshoorn this year.
We were of course supporting the Western Province team and most importantly the 4 Thaiholics fighters.

We left early on Friday morning and took a safe drive up through our beautiful province along Route 62. Every time I do a trip like this I confirm my believe that I live in the most beautiful country.
We stopped along the way for a ...

SAFE HAVEN

This was a very enjoyable movie.

This was the type of movie where no-one was chatting or rustling papers.  This was the type of movie, Where you could hear a pin drop.
The atmosphere was captured exactly, no over dramatisation.  The actors portraid the characters in a very normal down to earth way.  A very plausible – story – captivating your attention throughout the movie at a constant pace.  This movie was just like a good book, that you are forced to carry on reading because you just can...

"The only thing necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Well Im tired of doing nothing! Tired of bad people getting away with doing as they please with no repercussions. Its disgusting that innocent South Africans have to live in a counrty they love in fear - fear of being raped, murdered, robbed. Its ridiculous and Im tired of it. Each time it happens, there are excuses, in fact us victims are guilty of it too. Oh shame - there are not enough jobs, oh sha...
